A natural, gentle treatment for hemorrhoids
without chemicals or surgery

What are hemorrhoids?

Hemorrhoids are varicose widenings of the arteriovenous vascular cushions in the rectum. Even healthy individuals have three inner hemorrhoids. They become a medical condition when they cause discomfort by growing or descending. Typical symptoms are hemorrhages, feeling of pressure, itchiness, eczema and, in an advanced state, trouble with anal continence.

Hemorrhoids are a common medical condition

In the U.S., about 50 percent of those 50 years or older suffer from hemorrhoids. While more common in people over 50, it can appear in people much younger. Men are affected more frequently than women.

Conventional treatments for hemorrhoids

Non-operative treatments

  1. Food rich in dietary fibers
  2. Sitz baths in lukewarm water several times a day
  3. Treatment with ointments
Conventional non-operative treatments can only be considered in the initial stage of the disease.

Obliteration

Injection of a particular solution to smaller hemorrhoids that stops local blood circulation and makes the hemorrhoids shrink. Usually three injections in intervals of 4 to 6 weeks are accomplished ambulantly.

Elastic ligature

A tight elastic band is placed around the inner hemorrhoids. After a few days the ligated knot falls off along with the elastic band and is excreted unperceivedly. Normally, three or more sessions in one-month intervals are necessary.

Surgical methods

Surgical removal of the network of veins and arteries by local or general anesthesia. As is true with any surgical procedure, the associated risks include the possibility of hemorrhage, infection, reaction to anesthesia and, last but not least, incision pain.
